DeepSNR uses the same Tensorflow libraries as StarNet, so the procedure will be same. If you already have StarNet installed, the process should be extremely easy. Please use appropriate link to download below to save some traffic. Thank you!

Only RGB images taken using monochrome sensors are supported at the moment. CFA Drizzle integration should be used for DSLR images to get good results.

DeepSNR PI repositories are experimental at the moment.

Starting from PI version 1.9.0 Lockhart DeepSNR has a PI repository and this is now the easiest way to install it.

You will need to add two new repositories to PI to make DeepSNR work:

Please make sure you have PI 1.9.x Lockhart installed if you want to use the repository!

If you have StarNet installed, you do not need to install Tensorflow libraries again – you can skip the second URL.

Mac OS

Notes for Mac OS installation:

If PixInsight does not find new module after you copied all the files, try copying libtensorflow.2.dylib and libtensorflow_framework.2.dylib into
/Applications/PixInsight/PixInsight.app/Contents/Frameworks/
If you use Finder to do this, you will need to navigate into /Applications/PixInsight/, right-click PixInsight and choose ‘Show Package Contents’ and go further from there as usual.
There is a bug in PI for MacOS that results in an error installing process modules (not only DeepSNR). When installing using Process -> Modules -> Install Modules do not click on the DeepSNR module after you do search, just hit Search->Install. Otherwise, the installation will error out. If you did click on on module name to view its properties (confirm version, etc.) you will need to restart PI and try again.
